About Us
Arsh Choudhary
I’m a Grade 11 student at Jayshree Periwal International School in Jaipur with a strong interest in global affairs, finance, and social impact. I’ve had the opportunity to represent my school at various Model United Nations (MUNs) and policy forums, where I’ve engaged in meaningful discussions on international issues and diplomacy.
My interest in environmental challenges led me to research the problem of stubble burning in North India, particularly during the October-November season. I was proud to have my paper—offering solutions to this issue—published in a leading research journal.
Outside the classroom, I’ve worked with several NGOs focused on the disability sector, supporting their efforts to create equal opportunities for differently abled individuals. These experiences have deepened my belief in the importance of inclusive development.
Finance is another area I’m passionate about—especially the idea of making financial tools and opportunities accessible to anyone with a business idea and a solid plan. I believe that with the right support, innovative ideas can grow into ventures that create real change.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing tennis, and soccer. I value balance in life and believe that curiosity, commitment, and compassion are essential to personal growth and making a meaningful contribution to the world.

Student Life
Being chosen as the Green House Captain by both my teachers and fellow students is one of the proudest moments of my school life. This role is not just a title; it is a responsibility that challenges me to lead, inspire, and represent my house in all school activities and events. It has been an incredible journey of growth, teamwork, and learning, and I am excited to share my experience and vision as the captain of the Green House.
The honour of leadership:- The election process itself was a moment of excitement and reflection. Knowing that my peers and teachers had faith in my ability to lead filled me with a deep sense of gratitude and motivation. Being chosen as captain means I am entrusted with guiding the Green House through a year full of competitions, events, and responsibilities. It is a challenge I embrace wholeheartedly.
Responsibilities and roles:- As Green House Captain, I act as the bridge between the house members and the school council. It is my duty to encourage participation in sports, cultural events, academic competitions, and community service initiatives. Whether it is organizing practice sessions for inter-house sports or motivating my teammates during debates and quizzes, I strive to foster a spirit of unity and enthusiasm.
One of the key parts of my role is to lead by example, by demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and a positive attitude. I understand that my actions set the tone for others, and so I make it a point to maintain integrity and fairness in all that I do. Additionally, I work closely with my house teachers and fellow council members to plan events and resolve any challenges that arise during the year.
Building team spirit and camaraderie:- What excites me most about being the Green House Captain is the opportunity to build a strong, supportive community. A house is more than just a group of students competing against others; it is a family where every member feels valued and motivated. I organize team-building activities and informal gatherings to strengthen bonds and encourage collaboration.
This sense of camaraderie has helped us perform better in various competitions and has made the journey enjoyable for everyone involved. I firmly believe that when people feel connected and supported, their confidence and performance naturally improve.
Challenges and learning:- Leadership is not without its challenges. Balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and my responsibilities as captain requires effective time management and perseverance. There have been moments when coordinating large events or resolving conflicts within the house tested my patience and problem-solving skills.
However, each challenge has been a valuable learning experience, teaching me resilience and the importance of clear communication. I have also learned to listen actively to my peers’ concerns and suggestions, which has helped me become a more empathetic and inclusive leader.
Vision for the year ahead:- Looking forward, my goal as Green House Captain is to make this year memorable not only through achievements but through the positive impact we leave on each other. I want to nurture an environment where every member feels empowered to contribute and grow. By fostering enthusiasm, encouraging participation, and promoting respect, I hope to lead the Green House to new heights.

Serving Success: My journey as Tennis Vice Captain and why Tennis inspires me
Tennis has been an integral part of my life since grade 9, a sport that has taught me much more than just how to hit a ball over a net. Over the years, I have participated in numerous tournaments, gaining valuable experience and learning important life skills like discipline, focus, and resilience. My dedication to tennis and my leadership qualities were recognized when I was appointed Tennis Vice Captain of my school.
As Vice-Captain, I take great pride in representing my school at various tournaments and events. More importantly, I see my role as an opportunity to inspire and encourage other students to take up tennis. The sport is truly amazing because it combines physical fitness, mental toughness, and strategy, all of which help in building confidence and character.
One of the things I love most about tennis is its dynamic nature. Each match is like a mental and physical chess game where you constantly adapt to your opponent’s moves and think several steps ahead. It’s a sport that pushes you to be your best self, teaching patience during long rallies and the ability to bounce back quickly from setbacks.
Recently, our tennis team had the incredible achievement of winning the silver medal in the U19 team event at the National ISSO Tennis Tournament held in Gurgaon. I had the honour of playing in the doubles matches, and standing on the podium with my teammates to receive our medal was a moment of immense pride and joy. This achievement was not just about winning; it was about the teamwork, hard work, and countless hours of practice that led us there.
Tennis has also taught me invaluable lessons that go beyond the court — time management, perseverance, and the importance of staying calm under pressure. These lessons help me in my studies and other areas of life as well. As Vice-Captain, I am committed to fostering a supportive environment where new players feel motivated to take up tennis and grow, experiencing firsthand how this sport can transform lives.
In short, tennis is more than just a game to me. It is a way of life that challenges me, motivates me, and brings me immense joy. I hope to continue my journey in this wonderful sport and inspire many more students to discover its magic.

Exploring Kashmir: A Journey of Discovery and Friendship
Last year, I had the unforgettable opportunity to visit Kashmir on a school trip. It is a place often called “Heaven on Earth.” Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, Kashmir’s breathtaking landscapes, serene lakes, and vibrant culture left an indelible mark on me. But beyond the stunning views and historical sites, this trip taught me the true value of traveling independently with friends, creating memories and learning lessons that go far beyond the classroom.
The beauty of Kashmir:- From the moment we arrived, Kashmir captivated us with its natural beauty. The snow-capped mountains, lush meadows, and crystal-clear waters of Dal Lake were mesmerizing. We explored famous places like Gulmarg, where we enjoyed the fresh mountain air and the thrill of cable car rides, and Pahalgam, known for its scenic trails and peaceful surroundings.
Visiting the Mughal Gardens and the old markets gave us a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region. The warm hospitality of the locals, the taste of traditional cuisine, and the soothing sound of Kashmiri folk music made the experience even more special. Every day was an adventure, filled with new sights, sounds, and flavours that broadened my understanding of this unique part of India.
Traveling independently: The real lesson:- What made this trip even more meaningful was the chance to travel independently with my friends. While the school organized the itinerary and logistics, within that structure, we had moments to explore and manage ourselves like planning small outings, making decisions, and navigating new environments together.
Traveling independently with friends is important for many reasons. Firstly, it teaches responsibility. When you are away from the constant supervision of teachers or parents, you learn to take charge of your own safety, time, and resources. This sense of accountability builds confidence and maturity.
Secondly, it fosters teamwork and communication. Traveling in a group requires coordination on things like deciding where to go, how to get there, and how to manage budgets. We learned to listen to each other’s ideas, compromise, and solve problems collectively. These skills are valuable not only in travel but in life.
Thirdly, traveling with friends creates shared experiences and stronger bonds. Facing new challenges, discovering unfamiliar places, and having fun together builds trust and deepens friendships. These memories become stories that last a lifetime.
Lessons beyond the trip:- The Kashmir trip was much more than sightseeing. It was an education in independence, cooperation, and cultural appreciation. We encountered unfamiliar situations that required quick thinking and adaptability, from catching buses to ordering food in local eateries. We learned to respect different customs and traditions, gaining a broader perspective on life.
Personally, this journey helped me become more self-reliant and open-minded. It ignited a passion for travel and exploration that I hope to pursue further.
Traveling to Kashmir with my school friends was a life-changing experience. The beauty of the place combined with the thrill of traveling independently taught me lessons far beyond textbooks. In today’s fast-paced world, these experiences of self-discovery, teamwork, and cultural immersion are invaluable. I encourage every young person to embrace travel with friends, not just as a break from studies, but as a powerful way to grow, learn, and connect.
